Clear, versionable contracts that make systems easier to use and change.
Thoughtful data modelling across relational and NoSQL stores.
Robust connections between internal services, devices, and third-party platforms.
Testable code, useful documentation, pragmatic reviews, and steady delivery.
Careful debugging and analysis where reliability or response time matters.
From technical discovery through implementation, maintenance, and knowledge sharing.
03 / About
Clear thinking, thoughtful implementation, and systems that remain understandable as they grow.
I am a backend engineer based in Porto, Portugal. I enjoy turning product requirements into clean, dependable services—whether that means defining an API, modelling data, integrating external systems, or investigating a difficult production issue.
Building Java services and APIs for mobility-trip validation, event-driven processing, and partner integrations using Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, and Docker.
Maintained and extended Node.js and MongoDB services and a back-office platform for AI-enabled retail machines.
Developed and maintained Java device-server services decoding real-time tracking payloads over TCP/UDP, while contributing to a Python asyncio migration path.
Have a backend, integration, or data-systems challenge? I would be glad to talk.
